New Delhi: On New Year's Eve 2013 bidding goodbye to the year, Google has posted an animated doodle on its home page.
The animated doodle shows a party on with speakers blaring and the digits 2-0-1-3 grooving on the dance floor and while the digit 4, signifying the New Year is waiting in the wings.
Last year, taking into account the sensitivity and anger of Indian
citizens following the brutal Delhi gangrape case, Google did not post
the New Year's eve doodle on the India homepage. Google had instead, in
the memory of the Delhi braveheart, placed a subtle vigil candle below
its search box on the Google India homepage.
But in other countries of the world, on December 31, 2012 Google posted a doodle that was an assortment of 35 doodles that appeared during the year 2012
